Sophie

Socoh is built on the passion and love for the hairdressing industry that owner, Sophie Margetts has. This shows within the salon environment and energy you get when you walk in the door. Our clients are the most important thing, giving them a style they want as well as an amazing experience.

Hair Director, Sophie, has been in the industry since 2011 and is dedicated to educating herself and her staff to constantly evolve the salon and techniques.  Sophie is a Redken Certified Colourist and has assisted at numerous Fashion Weeks in Sydney and Melbourne. 

Some of Sophie’s highlights include being involved in GEN NEXT project with Sharon Blain and winning bronze in 2014 Wella Trend Vision. Her photographic work has been successful in 11 magazines worldwide and published on 3 front covers internationally. However, training Socoh’s new emerging stylists and working on the salon floor is where her true passion lies.

Socoh opened its doors in July 2018 and has grown more than Sophie would have ever imagined. In 2020 the salon relocated into a larger space and now has 8 team members.  

In 2022 Sophie hosted her first Socoh Education for hairdressers who love to learn, and in 2023 Sophie also collaborated with her friend/accountant in an event called Business Insights. This is an interactional and educational class to inspire other small business owners, sharing stories of growth and being able to network with each other. Sophie is all about sharing the love in the industry and in business ownership.

Together with her husband, Nathan, who handles the business side of things, she has recently expanded Socoh opening a second salon location in the heart of Adelaide's CBD. They are proud to lead a dedicated team of enthusiastic and passionate hair stylists in both the local Riverland community and now Adelaide.

Abbey

Abbey is a Senior Stylist who has been in the industry since January 2020 when she became part of the Socoh family, and has recently taken on the role of Salon Manager in our Loxton salon. Abbey is currently loving all things hair, and is keen to jump at every education opportunity that comes her way and continue to grow her skills on the salon floor. Her career highlights include participating at Kevin Murphy Fashion Week in Melbourne and being nominated as Apprentice of the Year for the Riverland and Mallee Vocational Awards. Follow what she is up to on Instagram @abbey.socohsalon

 

Nicki

Nicki is a Senior Hair Stylist that has been in the industry since 2007. While she has had a little break from hairdressing to bring up her two young children, she is super keen to be back on the salon floor. Nicki joined Socoh in April 2021, and has since become a fundamental part of our team. Bree

Bree is a Senior Hair Stylist and has been in the industry since 2015. After a short break from hairdressing, she joined the Socoh team in June 2022. She is keen to continue to learn and grow her skills on the salon floor, and can't wait to get to know you all! Kate

Kate is a Senior Hair Stylist who has been in the industry since 2018, and first joined the Socoh team in May 2019. After a short break from hairdressing in 2022/23, she is back and more keen than ever to create the hair of your dreams! Some of her career highlights include being a part of the 2021 Redken Styling Squad, as well as assisting at Redken's Fashion Week in Sydney in both 2021 and 2022. Sarah

Sarah has been in the industry since 2019 and has recently qualified in her trade. Sarah joined the Socoh team in April 2022 and is flourishing on the salon floor. She loves all things colour and foiling, and is eager to grow her skills everyday. Her career highlights so far include participating at Kevin Murphy Fashion Week in Melbourne and being nominated as Apprentice of the Year for the Riverland and Mallee Vocational Awards. Georgia 

Georgia joined the Socoh team in October 2021 and is making the most of her love for hair in the salon environment. As an Emerging Stylist she is the friendly face that will greet and seat you for your appointment while assisting other hair stylists in creating beautiful hair. Georgia is extremely keen to learn and build her skills, jumping at every opportunity that comes her way. We can't wait for you to get to know her! Cisco + Barney

Our welcoming party, CISCO + BARNEY the salon puppies. Cisco and Barney are both toy cavoodles who love to meet you at the door and soak up your attention while you wait for your stylist. They also love to keep your lap warm while you unwind as your colour processes. Neither Cisco or Barney drop any fur and are low allergy puppies so we can all enjoy their cuddles. We hope you love their presence as much as we do!
